Trust & Accuracy

Editorial Standards

The health information on this site can affect real decisions about treatment and safety. We hold it to a defined standard.

Why this page exists

Addiction and mental health content is what Google calls Your Money or Your Life (YMYL) information. People and families make high-stakes decisions based on it. We publish this page so you know exactly how the content on this site is created, who reviews it, and how to tell us if something is wrong.

Our editorial process

  • Written in plain language. Content is drafted to be clear and accurate, not to sell a service. Clinical claims are kept conservative and qualified.
  • Clinically reviewed. Health content is reviewed for clinical accuracy before publication and carries a reviewer attribution and a last-reviewed date where applicable.
  • Sourced from recognized authorities. Where we reference clinical frameworks (for example, the ASAM Criteria levels of care) or statistics, we draw on recognized clinical and government sources.
  • Kept current. Pages are reviewed on a recurring basis and updated when clinical guidance, regulations, or our own programs change.

Who reviews our content

Clinical content is reviewed by qualified members of our team. You can see who is part of Archangel Centers on our team page. Reviewer profiles are published as our clinical reviewers of record are confirmed.

An honest note:some clinical reviewer profiles on this site are marked "profile pending." We do not invent credentials, license numbers, or names. A reviewer profile is published only once that person and their verified credentials are confirmed.

What we do not do

  • We do not present medical detox or inpatient rehabilitation as services we provide on-site. Archangel Centers is an outpatient provider, and we coordinate higher levels of care with accredited partner facilities.
  • We do not display accreditations, certifications, or review counts we cannot verify.
  • We do not replace professional medical advice. Information on this site is educational and is not a substitute for an assessment by a licensed clinician.
