Lauren Sorrentino
Co-Founder, Family and Alumni Programs
"Addiction is a family disease. The whole family deserves a program that treats it that way, not a phone call once a month."
Lauren Sorrentino co-founded The Archangel Centers and built its family programming track from the ground up. She stood on the family side of recovery for years before Archangel existed, watching a system that largely told the people who love someone in treatment to wait by the phone. That experience shaped the program she designed: one that integrates family care throughout treatment rather than bolting it on as an afterthought.
Lauren leads family programming across both clinic locations in New Jersey and North Carolina. Her work includes scheduled family therapy, weekly support groups for loved ones, alumni engagement for graduates and their families, and active communication between the clinical team and the people in a client's life. The structure she built treats family involvement not as optional enrichment but as a core component of lasting recovery.
She and Mike built Archangel together from their shared experience of what recovery looks like when a family navigates it as a unit. That perspective is embedded in every part of how the program serves the people who show up with a client, not just the client themselves. She lives in Tinton Falls and Charlotte with Mike and their three children: Romeo, Mia, and Luna.
